About Me

Born and raised in Southside Jamaica, Queens, Fahlkyn is a singer, songwriter, and producer whose music lives at the intersection of vulnerability, soul, and storytelling. Now residing in North Carolina, he crafts R&B rooted in emotional honesty—music designed to feel like a safe space, a “me too” moment where listeners are reminded that life’s highs and lows are shared experiences.

Influenced by gospel, jazz, classical, rock, and neo-soul, Fahlkyn’s true muse has always been R&B—particularly the late ’90s and early-to-mid 2000s era. Often compared to artists such as Brian McKnight, Usher, Boyz II Men, Miguel, Seal, Mario, and Commissioned, he aligns most closely with Brian McKnight, his lifelong vocal hero. His sound is vibey, moody, introspective, and emotive—reflecting the ebb and flow of real life.

Music became Fahlkyn’s sanctuary early on. From leading his church youth choir at age five to writing poems and songs as a form of unintentional therapy, creativity was born from both faith and survival. Growing up poor in the hood sharpened his perspective, pushing him to turn chaos into art. By high school, music became his singular focus—something he ate, slept, and breathed.

As a songwriter, Fahlkyn explores love, relationships, faith, loss, self-worth, intimacy, and joy through both autobiographical and observational lenses. His creative process often begins with melody, sometimes sparked in the most ordinary moments, and evolves organically into full compositions. While his journey has often been solitary, collaboration remains a welcomed and valued part of his growth.

His recent releases, including “May This Christmas Bring” (2024) and “Don’t Drown” (2025), mark meaningful steps forward in his independent career. Known for intimate and emotionally engaging live performances, Fahlkyn brings confidence, authenticity, and connection to every stage he touches.

Currently refining his brand and preparing for his debut EP in 2026, Fahlkyn envisions a future where his music reaches global audiences. His legacy is one of resilience, hope, and love—Soul music rooted in truth and humanity.
